The HESI A2 exam is a standard entry test for many nursing programs. If you’re interested in becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) or another health professional, this may well be the exam you’ll start your academic training with.
The Health Education Systems, Inc. Admission Assessment (HESI A2) exam isn’t a test of your nursing skills. Nor is it a practice round for nursing school. It simply evaluates your scholastic aptitude for these programs. It measures your general education in things like math, English, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. You’ll also encounter physiology, anatomy, chemistry, and other sciences that relate to the health field.
The HESI A2 can be challenging to pass. While standards may vary from school to school, it generally requires a minimum combined score of 300, with 80 required for both math and English. There are also non-scored questions to classify your learning style and personality traits.
